This is a RARE CSA 10, 10c MILKY BLUE “FRAME LINE” (2 LINES) FOLDED LETTER, MOBILE, AL CDS. Here’s a cool item that you don’t see every day! Fresh from a Virginia estate, this letter is full of period content w/ war references, but more importantly, it is tied by the rare and elusive CSA #10, 10c blue w/ frame lines. The stamp is tied by a Mobile, Alabama circular date stamp and is correct to the cover in all regards. It evidences four full margins with complete frame lines on both the top and left sides. Now for the bad: The cover has some water damage and has been previously mounted. The paper and stamp are both lightly toned. There are several vertical creases, the deepest which runs up the right side of the letter and goes diagonally through the left side of the stamp. Despite all of the aforementioned faults, the cover still has some eye appeal and the stamp is bright with saturated color. I don’t believe that you’ll ever find a #10 on cover for less than this offering, and we don’t anticipate that it will last long. We are APS members, and offer a 100% lifetime authenticity guarantee.
