Description
This is a 1944-S WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR NGC MS-67, BLAST WHITE, SUPERB & REALLY NICE!. A really nice, superb Gem specimen of this conditionally rare date! There is generally very large spread on this date in MS-67, as PCGS is seen as much more “particular” on this date than NGC. PCGS Population is 14 with none finer, and the NGC Population is 32 with only 2 finer. Due to the prices realized for PCGS coins, the CDN Greysheet Wholesale Value of this coin is $30,000. PCGS Price Guide is $42,500 and NGC Price Guide is $14,500. Although this coin was bought and priced as an NGC, Rob and Robbie both felt this coin was far nicer than most of the NGC coins one would find. The piece is well-struck for the date, with blazing luster and virtually perfect surfaces. We did try to cross this coin 1 time at Baltimore to PCGS, but they declined to do so. We are NOT selling this 1944-S under the premise that it will cross to PCGS in the future, but we do feel that this example is a truly Superb coin for the date and grade, and far nicer than MS-66s, or other examples we have seen graded NGC MS-67. Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
