Most of the collection was comprised of celluloid pinback buttons, but there are some GREAT earlier pre-1896 pieces, as well. This specific item is a 1896 BRYAN-SEWALL 1 3/4″ JUGATE CELLO ATTACHED TO A 2″ x 6″ “1896 16 TO 1-FREE SILVER NO COMPROMISE ” SILK RIBBON. THE CELLULOID IS near-MINT, AND THE RIBBON IS VG+ WITH SOME MINOR STAINING AND SOME FADE TO THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE BOW. THIS IS NONETHELESS A SCARCE RIBBON WITH PROBABLY VERY FEW PEERS.
