This is a 1896 $1 SILVER CERTIFICATE EDUCATIONAL FR#224 PMG AU55 CLOSED PINHOLES, BUT NICE! A note that appears Choice Uncirculated at first glance. Paper is bright and crisp with original embossing. However, upon close examination (it took us quite some time to locate), two old pinholes were expertly filled.
