Description
This is a 1893-CC $20 LIBERTY GOLD DOUBLE EAGLE – PCGS MS-62+ LOOKS 63, PREMIUM QUALITY, CAC APPROVED, CARSON CITY!. A rare $20 Double Eagle from the final year of the Carson City mint. From an original mintage of just 18,402 pieces, the present example is one of the nicest 93-CC $20s we have seen. The MS-62+ population is just 10 coins with 29 MS-63s and NONE finer at PCGS. In fact, according to Garrett, the 1893-CC is one of the few mintmarked $20s missing from the Smithsonian Collection. The fact that this is CACd as a 62+ likely places it into the top 10-20 coins at PCGS for the date. The present coin has lovely original satiny luster, is fully struck and appears fully choice. If this were a “common date” $20, we would envision seeing this in a 63 or 63+ holder. A super example! Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
