This is a 1809 FRANCE BRONZE MEDAL, ATTACK ON ANTWERP, STATUE OF JUPITER, 41MM PCGS SP-64. Bronzed AE, Bramsen-870. A well-designed and lovely medal. Obverse featured the seated Jupiter, and the reverse depicts the city of Anversa w/ foot on bow of a ship. The subject matter is the Battle of Essling, Antwerp attacked by the British.
